What happens to fuel once it's been used in a nuclear reactor? That's a question many ask when discussing nuclear energy.

For decades, Duke Energy has safely managed the small amount of used fuel generated by our nuclear fleet. And while managing used nuclear fuel takes a lot of skill, explaining it doesn't have to.
