In recognition of the 11 year anniversary, the Nuclear Energy Institute’s (NEI) Safety First website has compiled material related to nuclear security and enhancements made since 9/11, including videos, illustrations, fact sheets and testimonials from industry leaders.
As the policy organization of the nuclear energy industry, NEI initially launched Safety First as a way to inform and educate the public regarding industry actions related to the events in Japan. The site has since grown to include a variety of general safety information, including helpful videos and visuals. In addition to NEI, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission also posts fact sheets to its website focusing on a variety of industry topics, including nuclear safety and security.
