Teaching Resources and Virtual Education

Looking for resources that will get your students excited about science? We can help.

Throughout the year, our Education Centers host thousands of visitors for classes, center tours and various events. Due to social distancing measures in play due to COVID-19 (coronavirus), these activities cannot take place as they normally would. But the learning and earning doesn't have to stop! Now, you can visit from home using technology.

Out of an abundance of caution to your health and ours, our education centers are temporarily closed to the public for on-site visits and events. We are offering virtual presentations. Contact one of our education centers:

Energy Explorium at McGuire Nuclear Station | World of Energy at Oconee Nuclear Station

Energy & Environmental Center at Harris Nuclear Plant

We have many resources for teachers and homeschool co-ops.

Regularly check this page for recordings from events across the fleet.

Robinson Nuclear Station recently hosted a merit badge session for Scouts to earn their Nuclear Science Merit Badge. Check out some of the supporting videos below:

Cookie Element

Atomic basics

Cloud Chamber Demo

Radiation

Note: These videos were part of a nuclear merit badge course, however, watching these videos does not count for as badge completion.
